Yep, Grill these foods. Maybe there are ingredients you have thought about grilling but haven't tried or you have read about grilling and BBQing them but don't know where to start. Perhaps you tasted something or read a BBQ recipe and thought that you want to learn how to cook BBQ that way but that ingredient sure seems strange to BBQ or hard to find. While at Best of BBQ we hear you and we are here to help! Did you ever think you could make the perfect grilled cheese – right on your BBQ? It can be done from a cheese that goes directly over the fir e and doesn't melt to one that you wrap in leaves and cook until it melts to a smooth tasty goo plus of course you want to try smoking some cheddar or other great cheese to eat with some crackers and perhaps a smoked fish or two. Or maybe its grilled fruit that has your interest; you know the sugars will just caramelize up perfectly on the grill but what to do then and which ones to start with; grilled peaches, grilled watermelon or perhaps grilled bananas foster? Smoked nuts are always good and what about some chocolate melted in your cooker, infused with the taste of hickory, oak or other nut wood? How about a little lettuce on the grill, mmmm a good grilled lettuce salad iis something to cook and impress your friends with plus its vegetarian grill dish who would have thought? Wow, the foods you can put on the BBQ are limited by your imagination and the knowledge of the right technique to cook them.
With the higher heat BBQ's now available and the different BBQ tools and BBQ friendly pans available you no longer have to worry about food not getting seared fast enough or small tidbits falling thru the grates. We're thinking about heading to the store right now to get some tater tots and fish sticks and seeing what they come out like when cooked on the grill with some wood and spices.
